Standards, Targets and Materials Overview
SphereOptics offers a selection of diffuse reflectance standards, targets and materials for use over the UV, VIS and NIR spectral regions. Our Zenith reflectance material is a proprietary PTFE-based material that exhibits reflectance values of 99% over the 350 to 1500 nm wavelength region and >97% reflectance from 250 to 2000 nm. It is resistant toheat, humidity and exposure to high levels of radiation, making it the ideal material for use in integrating spheres, laser cavities and as reflectance standards and calibration targets. Zenith Gold is our electroplated gold coating, which is highly reflective (>95%) over the NIR-IR ranges from 800 to 5000 nm. It is the optimal material for infrared applications. Diffuse Reflectance Standards and Targets
Reflectance values from 99% to 2%

Our diffuse reflectance standards and targets are made from Zenith reflectance material. Standards are available in 1.25 or 2 inch diameter with reflectance valuesranging from 99% to 2%. Reflectance targets are available in sizes from 2 x 2 inches to 40 x 40 inches. Standards and targets are packaged in sturdy holders with protective covers. Calibrations from 250 to 2500 nm are traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) and Physikalisch Techniche Bundesanstalt (PTB).
Alucore Targets
Lightweight and rugged reflection targets
Our new Alucore targets apply a unique technique, which laminates the diffuser material onto a lightweight matrix sand-wich backing. The laminating technique results in virtually no visible seams in the target. The reflectance properties and ruggedness remain at the same high level as other polymer based targets, but have the significant advantages of less weight and lower cost. The Zenith reflectance targets can be made to any size and combination of white or grey scale reflectance values.
Diffuser Material

For UV-VIS-NIR applications
For ideally diffuse illumination a selection of Zenith diffusers in different thicknesses and sizes are available. Thicknesses from 100, 250, 500 micron or 1 mm allow transmission levels from 50% to 6%. Diffuser material is used for many broadband diffusion applications including improving light source uniformity or detector performance.
Custom Fabrication and OEM Capabilities

We welcome inquiries for the development of custom Zenith Fabricated components such as integrating spheres, laser cavities, lamp housings, illumination or diffuser panels and custom calibration targets. Our engineers and designers can work directly from you print of collaborate with you from concept to finished product. As needed, we will execute a non-disclosure agreement for products of a proprietary nature. Our technical sales and engineering specialists are available to discuss your specific requirements.

Calibrated Lamp Standards

We offer a complete series of NIST traceable, precision standards for performing calibration of vis/near infrared devices. This series includes a variety of lamps with precision-positioned filaments in medium bi-post bases. We offer radiance, irridiance, luminance, illuminance and Color Temperture calibration options.
